Q: How accurate is How am I Driving?
A: As how am I Driving depends on your device capabilities, we are no in total control of your device sensors, so How am I Driving is as accurate as your device sensors allow it to be. After many tests we determined that how am I Driving is at least 95% accurate when your radio signal, GPS or other device sensors are working at its best.
Q: Do my points expire?
A: No. You collect your points, and you can use them whenever you want.
Q: Are my points transferable?
A: No, your points are not transferable.
Q: How are my points calculated?
A: Depending on the speed limit on a certain street, how am I driving take a sample of your current speed and compares it with the speed limit of the street you’re traveling on every 2 to 5 minutes. If your speed is the same or less than 5 mph above, you will be earning 100 points. If your speed is between 5 and 7 mph above the speed limit, you will be earning only 30 points. If your speed is greater than 7 mph above the speed limit you will lose 50 points. In the case of accelerations or braking events, you will lose 200 points.
Q: How do I receive my gift card redeem code?
A: After you confirm the gift card and amount you want, How am I driving will be texting you the redeem code to the phone linked to your account. Just follow the redeem instructions and enjoy your prize.
Q: Should I set if I'm the driver or the passenger after I receive the notification that a trip has started?
A: "How am I Driving" gives you up to 2 minutes to let it know wether you are the driver or the passenger. If you are the driver you don't have to set it each time you start a trip since "How am I Driving" automatically set you as the driver. If you are the passenger you should set it on each trip.
Q: If I'm the passenger, "How am I Driving" calculate my points?
A: No, if you set that you are the passenger on a certain trip within 2 minutes after you started traveling, "How am I Driving" stops calculating your driving and your points and won't record that trip.
